When did you first attend the SODEM protest outside Parliament and why did you come? 

Looking back through pics, February 2018 I think. I’ve got pictures with Chuka Umuna, Gina Miller and others. A year after Article 50 was triggered and there was a movement towards a second referendum.

How frequently did you come and when was the last time you attended?

Sporadically. About every 6 weeks. Came last in December 2019

How far from Westminster do you live and what was your travelling time?

About 100 miles. Takes about 2 hours. 

What’s your favourite memory?

So many. Following Steve around with his megaphone and watching him photobomb interviews. 

Tell me your story

I discovered activism at the age of 60 the day after the 2016 referendum. I was one of the first members of Bath for Europe ( formed from the Stronger In campaign – with which I wasn’t involved). We grew as a campaign group: organised rallies, street stalls, wrote for the local press, created bEUrets and fake money and transported busloads to London for the major protests. Some of us came up to London to support Steve from time to time.
