When did you first attend the SODEM protest outside Parliament and why did you come?

7th December 2017. I desperately wanted to add my voice to any protest against brexit and I thought Steve was heroic

Roughly how old are you?

60

How frequently did you come and when was the last time you attended?

2 or 3 times a month. Last one October 2019

How far from Westminster do you live and what was your travelling time?

12 miles. One hour on my bicycle

What’s your favourite memory?

Difficult to say. I always felt better for the companionship of other remainers and shouting at Parliament

Tell me your story

I was aghast at the referendum result and cried all day. I joined various Facebook groups, desperate to do something. I campaigned for pro-EU candidates in by-elections, led my national FB group on the marches joined local groups, went bannering on motorway bridges and went to SODEM  whenever I could. I always believed we could stop the madness of Brexit and I spent most of my waking hours on it. I was admin on 4 groups and learned a lot about our politicians and their parties, as well as meeting a lot of wonderful people (all remainers, needless to say). The fact that the cheats and liars of Vote Leave are now in government and that the UK has left the EU has made me fundamentally depressed and frightened.
