When did you first attend the SODEM protest outside Parliament and why did you come?
18th October 2018. I was in London for 3 days to attend the March on the 20th.
Roughly how old are you?
How frequently did you come and when was the last time you attended?
Just twice; the second time was 25th March 2019. I live in West Yorkshire!!
How far from Westminster do you live and what was your travelling time?
200 Miles, about 3 hours each way on the Train, including a change at Leeds, etc.
What’s your favourite memory?
Meeting Steve and Palky, waving a huge flag and shouting “Stop Brexit!” as loudly as possible.
Tell me your story
I could not believe the stupidity of people when they believed the lies peddled by the Brexiters. I was appalled that the media either failed to inform or openly joined in with the Xenophobia.
My late mother always told me that doing nothing about injustice is as bad as supporting it. I said straight away that in order to get what they want the Brexiters will end up putting people in camps and then worse. I was not going to be complicit in that by doing nothing at all. I have been to a few Marches, three in London, one in Manchester and one in Leeds, some local street stall appearances and stickering, but in the main I do what I can from my keyboard.
