When did you first attend the SODEM protest outside Parliament and why did you come?

Hmm… sometime in 2019. I came because I passionately believe Brexit is a horrendous mistake and engineered by a few billionaires who want to consolidate their power and fortune at others’ expense.

Roughly how old are you?

Late 40’s

How frequently did you come and when was the last time you attended?

Infrequently due to work (on preparing for Brexit). Maybe 5 times; I last attended in January 2020.

How far from Westminster do you live and what was your travelling time?

About 75 minutes away by train.

What’s your favourite memory?

Seeing how tiny Raab was. But seriously, meeting equally passionate people who could see the positive side of EU membership and could see through the lies of the populist politicians and their trite soundbites.

Tell me your story

I have worked freely in the EU in medicines development and could see the positive contribution the EU makes to society for 100’s million people. I also know from experience of law-making in the EU the U.K. press have been peddling lies for decades. I couldn’t give up once we lost the referendum. I had to keep being vocal. It’s heart-breaking.
