When did you first attend the SODEM protest outside Parliament and why did you come? 

12 December 2018. Letter writing, signing petitions and marching wasn’t getting anywhere so I decided to take protest to the gates of Westminster.

About every six weeks. Probably September 2019. 

How far from Westminster do you live and what was your travelling time?

About 90 miles. Train travel 1.5 hours plus tube to Westminster. 

What’s your favourite memory?

Marching down Whitehall behind Steve and co to gates of Downing Street. The streets were quiet, taxi drivers on strike so police turned a blind eye. And always the 6 o’clock shout.

Tell me your story

Been campaigning against BREXIT since before the referendum. We were in Spain when the referendum took place staying with our daughter who lives in Madrid. Had a visceral reaction to the result. Joined Stratford for Europe. On steering group. Organised local protests, manned street stalls, organised letter writing campaigns, went on marches. Lobbied local MP. Letters in local paper. Managed to stop David Davis at Tory Party conference in Birmingham. Invited him to join the demonstration! Still campaigning against the madness of Brexit.
