When did you first attend the SODEM protest outside Parliament and why did you come?

It was soon after I heard about it. Cannot remember the date, but years ago.

Roughly how old are you?

65

How frequently did you come and when was the last time you attended?

When I was living in London it was an average of about once a week. I am now in Exeter, but I came regularly – maybe once every 2-3 weeks but often more than once on a visit to London. Last visits were the week we left the EU – I went a few times.

How far from Westminster do you live and what was your travelling time?

Now in Exeter. If I came for the day, which I have done a few times, it takes 4 hours each way altogether.

What’s your favourite memory?

Meeting and making friends – talking about how bonkers it all is.

Tell me your story

After the referendum result, I was distraught and wanted to do anything I could to oppose Brexit. I campaigned at by-elections, gave out leaflets for the marches, marched and protested etc., etc. Once I knew Steve was outside Parliament I went and waved flags as often as I could. I am also a keen member of EU flag mafia and have very often crept around after dark hanging flags in public places!
