When did you first attend the SODEM protest outside Parliament and why did you come?
April 2018. I brought my Mum along, we were in London for the weekend (me from France, her from Portugal). I said we had to go to say that Brexit wasn’t in our name. It threw it down, there were just ten or so of us, but we just had to be there.
Roughly how old are you?
46
How frequently did you come and when was the last time you attended?
I haven’t been back to London since October 2018 when I went on the march, my first ever. Every person I spoke to in that trip I tried to get them to come along.
How far from Westminster do you live and what was your travelling time?
I live in Strasbourg, France. 600km and 6 hours away.
What’s your favourite memory?
The march in October 2019. Feeling not alone. Being proud of myself for standing up for what I believed in. Sitting on a bollard waiting to cross Trafalgar Square after the march when people were still streaming through. Sticking a Bollocks to Brexit sticker on the entrance to the Cabinet Office.

46, British, originally from Derbyshire, lived outside of the UK for more than half of my life thanks to opportunities from free movement. Couldn’t vote in the ref, never felt as passionately about something in my life as I have done against Brexit. Cannot accept friends of family who voted to leave the EU.
