When did you first attend the SODEM protest outside Parliament and why did you come? 

October 2019. There was a request for people to come early in the morning, so I got a very early train and got there by 7.15 am.

The warm welcome from everyone there, and meeting Steve.

Tell me your story

I joined the Canterbury for Europe group in spring 2017 and went on the march on June 23rd. I was so convinced that our country should remain a member of the EU that I believed we could convince the government of that fact. I had never been on a protest march before in my life, and I was nearly 77 then.
