Impossible to answer. There were so many favourite moments. But I guess when we won some of the votes in the HoC.
Tell me your story
In 2016 I was stunned by the result. I was depressed for weeks. That turned to anger as it became more obvious that the leavers were lied to, and we were cheated. By mid 2017 I was already wanting to do more. Then I saw Steve’s lone vigil outside the HoC. I admired his dedication. As time went by, it became obvious that Steve’s vigil had grown, and by early Summer 2018 I decided I wanted to be part of his protest. I joined him at SODEM in 2018, though I don’t think I was noticed. I didn’t have flags then.
I joined the Remain/Peoples vote groups and marches. I joined open Britain and started campaigning for a Peoples Vote on local Open Britain stalls. I got flags and joined Steve at Palace Yard at least once a week, and sometimes twice from 10:00 until after 18:00, sometimes even later. This went on until I used all my leave. Unfortunately, I seemed to attract media with my mega flag stack so I couldn’t afford to pull a sicky, as I would have been spotted on TV news. I did, however, make all the key votes and many of the special days.
I remember getting wet and white. But most of all I remember the friendship from people I only knew through the campaign. You all meant a lot to me and I’ll cherish those memories. We were what made Britain great. We were the thorn in leavers behind. We won the argument, our politicians let us down.
