When did you first attend the SODEM protest outside Parliament and why did you come? 

December 2017 when I realised we were headed for the hardest of Brexits and a hard right takeover.

Roughly how old are you?

I am in my 50’s.

How frequently did you come and when was the last time you attended?

Started once a fortnight and built up to more than once a week at times. The last SODEM was 30 January, 2020, but I’m planning to go back for the 23rd June, 2021, post-pandemic protest if it is possible. 

How far from Westminster do you live and what was your travelling time?

Journey of around an hour and 25 mins.

What’s your favourite memory?

A white van pulled up and wound the window down. We were expecting abuse but instead got a £50 note to ‘buy ourselves a beer’ from three English men. A close second is the group of huge Eastern European blokes who queued to shake my tiny hand and pat me on the back to say thank you for protesting on their behalf.
