When did you first attend the SODEM protest outside Parliament and why did you come? 

Can’t remember, possibly late 2017. I came for solidarity with pro-EU activists, to lobby Parliament and to show what we believe in.

How frequently did you come and when was the last time you attended?

I probably came about a dozen times in all. The last time was January 2020.

How far from Westminster do you live and what was your travelling time?

I live just South of Manchester. I used to catch the first off peak train. The travel time in total was about 3.5 hrs each way.

What’s your favourite memory?

There’s no single memory, but I do fondly remember the last ‘shout’ at the end of the day to ‘Stop Brexit’, the placard and flag (Manchester for Europe) waving behind the interviews and positive feedback from the public, MPs and Lords.

I am a dual British and EU27 citizen. I believe that Britain is Great in Europe – indeed I know it, having led or represented UK contributions to European initiatives. Britain will sadly be lessened outside the EU.
